Vice Chairman, Warner Bros. Entertainment
Ed Romano was named Vice Chairman, Warner Bros. Entertainment in December 2014. Serving as Warner Bros.’ first-ever Vice Chairman, Romano works closely with the Studio’s Chairman and CEO, Kevin Tsujihara, to implement growth strategies for the company, including international expansion, digital transition and resource reallocation from mature businesses to high opportunity, content-creating divisions.
Prior to his promotion, Romano served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Warner Bros. Entertainment, a post he held since 1994. In this capacity, he was responsible for all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting and planning for future business growth. In addition, he was also responsible for management information services, studio facilities and corporate real estate.
During his tenure with the company, Romano has also served as Assistant Treasurer, Controller, Vice President & Controller, and Senior Vice President & Controller.
Beyond his company responsibilities, Romano is also involved in a number of industry-related activities. He is a member of both the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and currently serves as the Chairman of the Finance Committee and the Treasurer of the Board of Governors at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation in Burbank, California and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Providence Health and Services Foundation Valley Service Area. He also serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Romano joined Warner Bros. in 1968, after serving five years at the public accountancy firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.
