Bill Draper Promoted to President, Worldwide Physical Production, Warner Bros. Pictures
In his new role, Draper will have oversight of the division responsible for all aspects of the company’s film productions, including budgeting, digital effects, post-production services, product placement and scheduling.
“We are very lucky to have Bill ready and able to continue the tremendous legacy established by our beloved Steve Papazian,” said Silverman. “Bill has been Steve's right hand for many, many years, brilliantly handling some of our biggest, most complex and most successful films. This is a natural evolution, and I look forward to our ongoing collaboration.”
Prior to his promotion, Draper served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Physical Production, having joined Warner Bros. Pictures as Vice President of Physical Production in 1996.
During his tenure, Draper has worked with such distinguished filmmakers as Steven Spielberg (the upcoming “Ready Player One,” “A.I.: Artificial Intelligence”), George Miller (“Max Max: Fury Road”), Jeff Nichols (“Midnight Special”), Guy Ritchie (“Sherlock Holmes,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”), Baz Luhrmann (“The Great Gatsby”) and Scott Cooper (“Black Mass”) among others.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Draper served as a freelance unit production manager and production supervisor, after having spent time at Walt Disney Studios as an associate production executive.
