"Ice & Coco" Sets Time Period Highs with Women 25-54 During Its Summer Preview
The new series delivered an impressive 0.8/6 rating share among Women 25-54 over the three weeks, growing +20% in share over its lead-in and +60% in rating over the Aug ’14 time period. In fact, “Ice & Coco” earned a 9-year average rating high in the time period (since majority of stations were LPM measured). The show was especially promising in New York (WNYW/F/ 11:00a, 0.9/7 rtg/shr), where it delivered a station-high August time period rating (since LPM measurement began over a decade ago) with +80% rating gains over “Hollywood Today Live.”
Among its core Adult 25-54 demographic, “Ice & Coco” earned a 0.6/5 rtg/shr, doubling the prior year Aug ‘14 time period rating (+100%) and improving +20% over “Boris & Nicole” in July ’15. “Ice & Coco” recruited new viewers to its stations, improving +25% in share over its lead-in average while growing or maintaining over its lead-in program in 6 of its 7 test markets including Top 2 markets in the country: New York (WNYW/F/11:00a, 0.6/6 rtg/shr, +50% shr) and Los Angeles (KTTV/F/1:00p, 0.4/4, +33%).
During its 3-week run, “Ice & Coco” covered a variety of fresh topics including hosts Ice-T and wife Coco Austin revealing that they are expecting their first child together and sharing their baby's gender, the name they’ve selected, and details of their pregnancy journey. Plus, “Ice & Coco” welcomed a variety of celebrity guests including legendary rapper and filmmaker Ice Cube, “Law & Order: SVU” cast members Mariska Hargitay, Peter Scanavino and Kelli Giddish, reality star Snooki, actress and comedian Sherri Shepherd and more.
