Philippe Cardon Named WHV President, International
(September 19, 2006 – Burbank, CA) - Philippe Cardon, WHV Executive Vice President and General Manager EMEA, has been named WHV President, International, it was announced today by Ron Sanders, President WHV.
As President, International, Cardon will have P&L responsibility for all WHV territories outside of the U.S., with the exception of Canada. This is a newly formed position for WHV. The heads of the WHV regional offices (EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America) and the heads of the International Functional departments (International Marketing & Sales, International Supply Chain Management, and International Finance) will now report to Cardon.
“Philippe has over 20 years of industry experience and has played a central role in the growth of WHV,” said Sanders. “Aligning International under one person will improve consistency, coordination and best practices across all of the countries. This is particularly important with our maturing DVD business, and in the context of the launch of new technologies like High Definition and Electronic Delivery.” Cardon will continue reporting to Sanders.
Prior to becoming WHV Executive Vice President and General Manager EMEA, Cardon helped launch the WHV European office in 2000. Cardon’s career with WHV began in 1986 as Deputy Finance Director for Theatrical Distribution for Warner-Columbia Films, in France. Cardon has also served as Vice President of WHV’s Nordic Region, Deputy Managing Director WHV France, and Financial Director. Prior to joining WHV, Cardon worked for Ernst & Young.# # #
