Golden Globe winner and Emmy® nominee Kevin Bacon stars with Rome's James Purefoy in this edge-of--your-seat thriller from creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries, Dawson's Creek, the Scream franchise) that follows a deadly cat-and-mouse pursuit between a former FBI agent (Bacon) and a diabolical serial killer (Purefoy).

In the psychological thriller's first season, former agent Ryan Hardy was called in to consult when the notorious Joe Carroll escaped from death row and orchestrated a network of like-minded followers to do his bidding. Although Carroll's cult of killers was caught before his deadly endgame reached its conclusion, Carroll himself escaped.

In the second season, Carroll returns alongside a disturbing family of killers, including the intriguing Lily Gray (Connie Nielsen) and her twisted twin sons Luke and Mark. Seeing Carroll as the father figure they never had, they engage in a shocking killing spree to gain his attention. But Carroll has no interest in settling down; his sights, instead upon a new cult and a higher calling as a murdering Messiah.

With his longtime follower Emma Hill (Valorie Curry) at his side, Carroll attacks religion and hypocrisy with the hopes that his name will live forever in infamy. But Ryan Hardy, with the help of his NYPD niece Max (Jessica Stroup) and FBI agent Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) never let up on their relentless pursuit—even at the cost of losing family and loved ones in the struggle.

With Joe Carroll once again behind bars, Lily Gray shot in cold blood by Mike Weston and Luke dead at the hands of Max Hardy, Ryan Hardy's conviction to forge a new life will be put to the test in the psychologically intense third season, when a new villain emerges from the shadows, proving to be even more insidious and dangerous than his former nemesis.
