You are here to submit your video for a chance to appear on the Wizarding World YouTube channel (the “Channel”) and other exciting places!

Please read these Submission Guidelines carefully before uploading any Content because they affect your legal rights and obligations.

Use of this Site in any way means that you accept these Submission Guidelines and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.’s ("Warner") Terms of Use (https://policies.warnerbros.com/terms/en-us/) and Privacy Policy (https://policies.warnerbros.com/privacy/) as a legally binding agreement governing your use of the Site. We may revise these Submission Guidelines by updating this posting from time to time. You should visit this page regularly to review the current Submission Guidelines. Your continued use of the Site will be deemed as your acceptance of any revisions.

How Old Do I Have To Be?

You must be eighteen (18) years old to use this Site or, if you’re 18 and not of legal age of majority in your state, you must have your parent or legal guardian's consent to use this Site. By using this Site you agree to be bound to and abide by and comply with these Submission Guidelines.

Submissions, Uploads and Postings Rules

Please act responsibly when using the site and creating Content. All videos, photos, comments, submissions, and any other content (collectively, the "Content") submitted by you, which does not meet these Submission Guidelines and YouTube’s Terms of Service, will not be selected, nor uploaded for sharing on the Channel.

Content meeting these Submission Guidelines may be selected to be uploaded for sharing to the Channel and can be removed from the Channel at any time and at Warner’s sole and absolute discretion.

Your safety, and that of others, is of paramount importance. Please be cautious when creating Content. Do not take unnecessary risks or participate (or encourage others to participate) in any activities that may pose a risk to health and safety.
Content must be 100% original and created by you or in the public domain, except that you may include Warner and J.K. Rowling IP. “Warner and J.K. Rowling IP” means names, trademarks, logos or other property belonging to and/or controlled by either Warner and/or J.K. Rowling related to the Wizarding World (e.g., characters and related elements, which are from the Harry Potter and/or Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them books and films). For the avoidance of any doubt, these Submission Guidelines do not grant you permission to use any Warner and J.K. Rowling IP for purposes other than to submit Content to the Channel.
Content may not infringe upon or violate the trademark, copyright, or common law rights or violate the rights of privacy or publicity of, or constitute a defamation against, any person (living or deceased) or any other rights of any person or entity, and there must not be any encumbrances, liens, conditions or restrictions whatsoever upon or affecting your right to license such Content or any portion of the Content.
Content must not contain any third party owned or protected content (e.g., movie clips, television shows, recordings, artwork, photos, songs, music, etc.) except for Warner and J.K. Rowling IP for the purposes as specifically described in these Submission Guidelines.
Content may not be subject to, or be within the parameters of, any performing arts union or guild or similar. Under no circumstances will any compensation, such as payment, residual, royalty, reuse or similar payments, be payable to anyone by the Channel Group (as defined below) regardless of the manner and the extent to which the Site elects to exploit the Content or any portion of the Content.
Content, including any use of Warner and J.K. Rowling IP, must not include anything that is: (a) sexually explicit, inappropriate for family viewing, of an adult-only nature, indecent, obscene, violent, hateful, or tortuous; (b) derogatory or promotes bigotry, sexism, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; (c) unlawful; (d) offensive, defamatory, insulting, degrading or threatening;(e) pose any health and safety risk to you or those appearing in the Content; (f) harmful to the Site or other users of the Site such as viruses, trojan horses or other technologies that could adversely impact the Site or other users; and/or (g) disparaging to the Site or is inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which the Site wishes to associate (at Warner’s sole and absolute discretion).
If any person other than yourself appears in the Content, you acknowledge and agree that you have obtained, prior to uploading the Content, any and all releases and/or consents necessary to permit the display, exhibition, and other use of the Content or any portion as set forth in these Submission Guidelines.
You may not be, nor may you work with any party in conjunction with any uploaded Content, who: (a) is represented under contract (e.g., by a talent agent or manager) that would limit or impair Warner’s ability to display the Content in any media form; (b) has an acting or modeling contract that would make appearance in the Content a violation of any third party rights; or (c) is under any other contractual relationship, including but not limited to guild and/or union memberships, that may prohibit the Channel Group from using the Content in any form or format, royalty-free, worldwide, in all media in perpetuity.
Content must not include personally identifiable information such as your or a third party’s address, email address, phone number, etc.
Content must not contain any commercial or corporate advertising (such as corporate logos, brand names, and slogans), recognizable branded products, or commercial artwork other than as they may originally appear in Warner and J.K. Rowling IP.
Content must be suitable for presentation in a public forum and comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service.
You understand and acknowledge that all Content published on the Channel is available to be viewed by anyone and that no Content is being submitted in confidence or in trust to this Site and no confidential or fiduciary relationship is intended or created. After the Content has been uploaded, Warner may not be able to prevent further use of your Content by third parties and the public in general and your content will be accessible from, and may be linked to, or copied from (including without limitation “shared” or “retweeted”) across the public internet.
The Warner and J.K. Rowling IP shall not be used for any other purposes, including, without limitation (a) in connection with any advertisement, competition, contest, lottery, prize draw, quiz, trivia game, promotion, event, organisation (including that organisation’s logo), product, services; or (b) in any publication, website or microsite that is primarily devoted to or themed around the Wizarding World (including Harry Potter, the Harry Potter books and films, or the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find them books and films) unless you have Warner’s prior written permission to do so.
You are not authorised to (a) publish, conduct a live reading from, create a stage performance of or reproduce any of the text from the Harry Potter books; (b) create, publish or otherwise communicate to the public new characters, dialogue, storylines or other new material based on the Harry Potter books, unless You have been given Warner’s and/or J.K. Rowling’s specific prior written approval to do so.

How to Submit your Content

Submit your Content by uploading it to the Site. You will need to be signed in to submit a video, so we will have your name and email address.

The Channel receives many submissions from its fans. Please understand that given such volume, we regrettably may not be able to consider your Content for the Channel once submitted to us within any specific time frame. Furthermore, Warner will not be able to respond to those submissions that we do not elect to post. As we mentioned above, selection of Content for uploading and sharing on the Channel is at Warner’s sole and absolute discretion, and nothing contained herein shall oblige Warner to use the Content.

Warner and each of its parent, subsidiaries, licensees, successors and assigns are not responsible or liable for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, or garbled Content; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Site, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failures or malfunctions.

Ownership of Content

All Content publicly posted, uploaded and/or privately transmitted on or through this Site and the Channel is your sole responsibility, not the Channel, Warner, or any of Warner’s associated and affiliated companies, partners, parent, subsidiaries, licensees, successors and/or assigns of Warner (the “Warner Group”) or of J.K. Rowling, The Blair Partnership, or Pottermore Limited or of their associated and affiliated companies, partners, parent, subsidiaries, licensees, successors and/or assigns (the “J.K. Rowling Group”). For the purposes of these Submission Guidelines, the Warner Group and J.K. Rowling Group together shall be called the “Channel Group”. You retain all ownership rights over all Content (except Warner and J.K. Rowling IP), and you are solely responsible for all Content and the consequences of submitting, uploading, posting or otherwise transmitting your Content to or through this Site. Please retain copies of the Content you submit to us as we are under no obligation to return any Content to you.

Any review or use of your Content shall not be construed as any recognition of the novelty or originality of such Content. You acknowledge that Channel Group may already be considering or have in development from other sources activities which are related to the subject matter of the Content.

Licensing of Content

By submitting your Content, you grant Channel Group a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, fully transferrable, worldwide, no-cost license and right to use and otherwise exploit the Content and all images, text and content included or depicted therein, in whole or in part, in any manner or medium now or hereafter known or devised (including, without limitation, DVDs, streaming media, film, television, print, interactive devices, mobile media, Internet and on-line systems), throughout the universe and in any and all languages. This includes giving the Channel Group the right to display, reproduce, recreate, record, perform, exhibit, distribute, copy, edit, change, modify, add to, subtract from, re-title and adapt the same, to combine it with other material and otherwise use and exploit it without having to give you any compensation or attribution. The Channel Group will have the right to make unlimited derivative works therefrom, to assign or transfer any or all such rights and to grant unlimited, multiple-level sublicenses. Without limiting the forgoing, the Channel will have the right to use the Content, and all images depicted therein (if any), in any merchandising, advertising, marketing, promotion or for any other commercial or non-commercial purpose. Additionally, you waive and relinquish all so-called "moral rights” (droit moral) now or hereafter recognized in connection with the Content. You understand and agree that you will not receive any compensation, including without limitation, licensing fees, royalties, payments, etc. from any Warner Group for its use of the Content.

Copyright Policy

If we are notified that your Content infringes on another's intellectual property rights, the Channel reserves the right to remove such Content in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe that any Content on the Channel has been copied and infringes upon your copyright, pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, please submit the following information:

Your name, address, telephone number, and an email address;
Identification and description of the copyrighted work that you claim to have been infringed;
Identification of the Content that you claim is infringing on your copyright and sufficient information needed to locate the Content on the Channel (e.g., URL, user name, clip title, date of upload, etc.);
A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use has not been authorized by you, your agent, or the law;
A statement by you made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf; and
Your electronic or physical signature or the electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on your behalf.

If you believe that your Content was removed by mistake, that it is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner to use the Content, please submit a counter-notification containing the following information:

Your name, address and telephone number;
Identification of the Content that was removed and information on where it was previously located on the Site;
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the Content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, any judicial district in which the Channel may be, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original copyright notice or an agent of that person; and
Your electronic or physical signature.

Any complete counter-notifications received will be sent to the person who submitted the original copyright infringement notice. That person may elect to either seek a court order against you for copyright infringement or replace the removed Content. If we do not receive notice that legal action has been taken within fourteen business days after the counter-notification is provided, the Content may be replaced or access to it restored, at our sole discretion.

Limitation of Liability

The Channel seeks to preserve any and all exemptions from liability that may be available under the copyright law, but does not necessarily stipulate that it is a service provider as defined in USC section 512(c) or elsewhere.

You agree to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law to release and forever discharge the Channel Group, from and against any and all claims, demands, losses and liabilities of any nature whatsoever which may now or hereafter arise, including but not limited to any loss of enjoyment, costs, delays or other harm or loss of any nature whatsoever caused by, contributed to, or arising out of or in connection with the Site. These Submission Guidelines, along with Warner’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy which are hereby incorporated by reference, shall constitute the complete and legally binding agreement between you and the Site and governs your use of the Site.
