Just in time for Chrismukkah, CW Seed, The CW’s sister streaming site and app, has now added all 92 episodes of The O.C., the addictive dramedy which quickly became a pop culture phenomenon during its four-season run on FOX from 2003-07, making this the first time that the series has been streamed online at no cost!
So if you don’t have the DVD collection and don’t wanna pay for episodes that are still available on Amazon and iTunes, here’s your chance for some serious binge-watching Southern California style. Every episode following the roller coaster lives of the young-uns—Ryan (Ben McKenzie), Summer (Rachel Bilson), Seth (Adam Brody) and Marissa (Mischa Barton)—and the parents who went along for the ride—Sandy (Peter Gallagher), Kirsten (Kelly Rowan), Julie (Melinda Clarke) and Jimmy (Tate Donovan)—is streaming now on CW Seed.
Alongside the gripping drama and snappy comedy, The O.C. was also widely known for its use of music and being a formidable promoter of indie rock artists throughout its run, including the popular theme song "California" from Phantom Planet. The musical landscapes were expertly gathered together by the show's music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas and series creator Josh Schwartz, which resulted in a series of popular soundtrack releases that remain available on iTunes.
In addition, CW Seed has also made available all twelve aired episodes of 1992-93’s The Ben Stiller Show, plus an additional “Lost Episode” that never aired on FOX during its initial run.
CW Seed’s original programming slate includes the the recently launched Vixen, which we told you about this past August, as well as the Veronica Mars spin-off Play It Again, Dick. There are also full seasons of the 1990 television series of The Flash, as well as some other favs from television’s past including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Almost Human and Hellcats.
Oh yeah, and, like we said before, it’s all FREE at CW Seed!
