Batfleck will be returning! Ben Affleck, who starred as the moody anti-hero Batman in the recent Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is confirmed to be returning to the DC Universe. In Las Vegas yesterday at CinemaCon, Warner Bros. Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced that Affleck will appear as Batman in an upcoming Justice League movie as well as star and direct in a standalone Batman feature. Affleck is not new to the role of actor/director, having directed and starred in both the 2012 political thriller Argo (which won the Oscar for Best Picture, to boot) and 2010's The Town.
The summer's eagerly anticipated Suicide Squad was introduced by director David Ayer who welcomed the main ensemble cast of the film before treating the audience to a viewing of the extended trailer. The film opens in theaters August 5.
The day came to a magical close when Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them stars Eddie Redmayne, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler and Colin Farrell came to the stage and introduced the film's latest trailer as well a behind-the-scenes look at the movie.
Fans can return to the Wizarding World when Fantastic Beasts opens in theaters November 18.
