"Blade Runner 2049" Arrives in One Year
Your Chance to Visit the Set
In one year from now, sci-fi fans will enter the year 2049 with the release of the long-awaited sequel to the iconic 1982 film, Blade Runner. Today it was announced that the title of the October 6, 2017 release is Blade Runner 2049.
Starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, reprising his role of Rick Deckard, the 2049 tag means that the film will seemingly take place 30 years after the original. While the buzz among fans is rising with each passing day, very little is known about the storyline itself at this point.
The film is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?.
