WB Takes Home Gold
"Fantastic Beasts" and "Suicide Squad" Honored
Warner Bros. joined in the 89th annual Oscars® celebration last night by taking home two statuettes. ®
We're proud to congratulate Colleen Atwood on her fourth Oscar win. Atwood took home Oscar gold for Best Costume Design for the Jazz-Age-in-New-York-meets-Wizarding-World tale Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The rather stunned designer (who was wearing a top of her own creation and a re-worked Alaïa skirt) kept her acceptance speech short and sweet, thanking Warner Bros., studio executive Steve Papazian, director David Yates, and the rest of her team.

We'll be featuring more of Atwood's design process and how she brings fantasy to life on our blog in the coming days, so check back soon!
Suicide Squad can now tick "Oscar Winner" off its to-do list. Up against impressive competition, the film took home the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. With an ensemble cast that includes well-established DC Universe characters who have already lived a full life in comics, graphic novels, television and, in some cases, other big screen adaptations, styling these roles in a way that was unique but also true to the core of who they are was no easy task. Winners Giorgio Gregorini, Alessandro Bertolazzi and Christopher Nelson managed to blend those pre-existing canons seamlessly while adding their own individual artistic touches.
Congrats to all the winners on a magical evening!
