“The Bachelor” Celebrates 10 Years Of Global Success With A 25th Territory Licensing The Hit Relationship Series
(January 30, 2012 – Burbank, CA) – Eligible bachelors in the USA started to search for the woman of their dreams 10 years ago in the hit reality series “The Bachelor.” The series has since become a global phenomenon - with Canada being the 25th territory to produce its own local version.
Warner Bros. International Television Production has licensed the format to Germany - where it is currently airing on RTL with outstanding ratings of almost 5 million viewers (23.5% market share), Hungary, Poland, Italy, Denmark and Croatia, to name a few, and continues to roll out the format around the globe with Canadian broadcaster CITYTV announcing this week that they will launch a nine episode series of the romantic reality series in the Fall.
Other upcoming local versions of “The Bachelor” include; Ukraine - 2nd season of 12 episodes to launch on STB in the Spring; Romania - 1st season of 9 episodes to launch on Antenna 1 in Summer 2012; and Russia - 1st season of 10 episodes to launch on TNT in the Spring.

In “The Bachelor,” one lucky man is offered the chance to find true love. The serie stakes the Bachelor - and viewers - on the ultimate romantic journey, filled with drama and passion, in which 25 women compete to try and win his heart. Expect flirting, intense competition among the ladies and heartfelt emotion as the contestants do whatever it takes to impress the eligible bachelors.
Through a variety of group dates and intimate meetings, The Bachelor will decide which woman is right for him.
