“The Forgetting: A Portrait Of Alzheimer’s” DVD From Warner Home Video
(January 16, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – On January 20, 2004, Warner Home Video (WHV) and PBS Home Video will release “The Forgetting: A Portrait Of Alzheimer’s” on DVD. Based on the recent acclaimed book by David Shenk, this telling film thoroughly explores Alzheimer’s, taking both a sweeping and intimate look at how this disease affects nearly five million Americans and their loved ones. A 30-minute follow-up, “Alzheimer’s: The Help You Need,” hosted by award-winning actor David Hyde Pierce ("Frasier," "Down with Love"), brings together a panel of experts to provide authoritative answers to commonly asked questions and to direct viewers to organizations and resources that can offer help and support.
At a critical time in our nation’s struggle with the disease, as it threatens to reach epidemic levels due to the aging Baby Boomer population, this film provides viewers with information, insight, content, help and hope. “The Forgetting: A Portrait Of Alzheimer’s” will be available on DVD for $24.98 SRP.
