(November 9, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – The Fox Television Stations have renewed Telepictures Productions’ new, one-hour talk show “Anderson” for its stations in Los Angeles (KTTV-TV), Chicago (WFLD-TV), and Boston (WFXT-TV) and has acquired the series for its stations in New York (WNYW-TV), Minneapolis (KMSP-TV) and Tampa (WTVT-TV), it was announced today Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, and Rick Meril, Executive Vice President/General Sales Manager, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. In addition, the series has been renewed by incumbent stations owned by LIN in Indianapolis (WISH-TV/WNDY-TV), Hartford (WCTX-TV/WTNH-TV), Norfolk (WAVY-TV), Austin (KXAN-TV/KNVA-TV), Buffalo (WIVB-TV), Providence (WPRI-TV/WNAC-TV), Dayton (WDTN-TV), Toledo (WUPW-TV) and Terre Haute (WTHI-TV). The series has also been sold for a second year to Midwest Television for its San Diego station (KFMB-TV); Meredith for its stations in Phoenix (KPHO-TV), Las Vegas (KVVU-TV) and Flint (WNEM-TV); Gannett in Jacksonville (WTLV-TV/WJXX-TV): The Lilly Group in Erie (WSEE-TV/WICU-TV) and Sun Broadcasting for its station in Ft. Myers (WINK-TV/WXCW). “This is a terrific testament to these strong stations who, like us, see ‘Anderson’ as the next early-fringe syndication franchise,” said Werner. “Since its launch, the series has continued to grow and find its voice in a very competitive and fragmented landscape. We have great faith in ‘Anderson’ and with strong station partners, we believe we are well on the way to creating a valuable news lead-in.” “The show is off to a good start and has the opportunity to grow organically into something unique,” said Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President, Telepictures Productions. “Anderson brings a distinctive point of view, a real sense of empathy and the journalistic skills to tackle and elevate the diverse range of topics that the daytime audience is interested in. As our awareness grows and the audience finds the show, the bond will only grow stronger with him over time.” “I’m really excited about the decision of these stations and appreciate the support they have shown us,” said Anderson. “I am enjoying the daytime show tremendously and am looking forward to what lies ahead.” “Anderson” covers a wide range of topics and the provocative stories and personal stories behind the headlines that the audience is talking about. Whether discussing social issues, trends and events, pop culture, or human interest stories, Anderson involves viewers in the studio audience and at home in a daily discussion that is both informative and entertaining. Anderson also interviews celebrity guests, as well as experts to bring daytime viewers real information they can use in their own lives and to help real people overcome real life challenges. “Anderson” is taped in front of a live studio audience at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Allen Room, a truly unique setting with views through a 50-by-90-foot floor-to-ceiling glass wall overlooking New York’s Central Park and Columbus Circle. This open, fresh view brings the energy of the city into the studio and viewers’ homes. “Anderson” is produced by StrongChild Productions in association with Telepictures Productions, an industry-leading and Emmy Award-winning producer of syndicated programming. The series is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, one of the leading distributors of first-run and off-network programming.
