“Bringing Up Baby” In DVD Debut And “The Philadelphia Story” Remastered From Warner Home Video - “Libeled Lady,” “To Be Or Not To Be,” “Stage Door” And “Dinner At Eight” Also New To DVD In Warner Home Video’s “The Classic Comedies Collection”
(December 13, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – “Bringing Up Baby,” one of the most beloved American film comedies of all time, starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn, makes its DVD debut on March 1 from Warner Home Video. It’s joined by another Grant-Hepburn classic, “The Philadelphia Story,” first released at DVD’s inception and now beautifully remastered. Both are being released as Two-Disc Special Editions with commentaries, critically acclaimed documentaries and other bonus extras.
Four additional timeless titles make their DVD debut in “The Classic Comedies Collection”: “Libeled Lady”, “To Be or Not To Be,” “Stage Door”and “Dinner at Eight.” William Powell, Spencer Tracy, Ginger Rogers, Lucille Ball, Jack Benny, Carole Lombard, Jean Harlow and Myrna Loy star in the films.
Pricing of the collection will be $26.99 SRP/$19.95 MAP for each Two-Disc Special Edition, while the single titles will sell individually for $19.97 SRP/$14.95 MAP. In addition, the collection will be offered as a gift set at the collectible price of $68.92 SRP. Orders for all are due February 1, 2005.
