“Felicity” Returns To The WB With 6 New Epidsodes In A Row
(March 27, 2001 – Burbank, CA) — The WB will debut all new episodes of “FELICITY,” picking up with the conclusion to the “Winter Finale” cliffhanger that aired last December, on Wednesday, April 18 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), it was announced today by Jordan Levin, Co-President, Entertainment for The WB.
As announced last May, The WB has implemented a programming strategy that has “FELICITY” and “JACK & JILL” airing all original episodes of the series while sharing the coveted Wednesday, 9:00 p.m. ET timeslot following “DAWSON’S CREEK.”
The plan is working, making the Wednesday strategy a ratings success story this season for The WB. “FELICITY” notched 53%, +41% and +70% year-to-year timeslot increases in adults 18-34 (2.9), women 18-34 (4.1) and men 18-34 (1.7). “JACK & JILL” has improved dramatically over last year's “FELICITY” repeats, building +70% in adults 18-34 (1.7/4), growing +77% in women 18-34 (2.3/6) and gaining +67% in men 18-34 (1.0/3).
Airing Wednesday, April 18, the “FELICITY” “Spring Premiere” episode begins where the December holiday cliffhanger left off — as gunshots rang out at Felicity’s (Keri Russell) holiday party. In the mayhem that follows, everyone’s lives will be forever changed.
Executive produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Tony Krantz, J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and John Eisendrath, “FELICITY” is from Imagine Television in association with Touchstone Television Productions, LLC. # # #
