“Greetings From Tucson” Returns To The WB
(March 31, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – “GREETINGS FROM TUCSON” returns to The WB’s Friday night line-up on April 4 in its new time slot at 8:30pm ET with a stellar guest cast that includes an award-winning actor, a beautiful “Baywatch” babe, a country star, a popstar and a legendary rock star.
Rising country singer Jessica Andrews (“There’s More To Me Than You”) tosses around some pom poms when she appears as Maria’s (Aimee Garcia) cheerleader friend Paula on Friday, April 4. After David (Pablo Santos) and Sarah (Sara Paxton) breakup, he takes Paula on a date to the movies, much to the dismay of Joaquin (Julio Oscar Mechoso).
On Friday, April 11, N*SYNC’s J.C. Chasez joins the show. After Maria moves into her first apartment, she realizes the stress of living in the “real world.” J.C. plays her kooky maintenance man who is as cool as they come and willing to help Maria with her new apartment.
Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil, who recently appeared on The WB’s hit reality series “The Surreal Life,” guest-stars as himself on Friday, April 18. Ernesto (Jacob Vargas) is hired as a security guard for a Vince Neil concert. But when Vince takes Ernesto’s “let it be” advice literally and walks out on a sold-out concert, chaos ensues.
On Friday, April 25, Carmen Electra (“Baywatch”) pours on the charm when she appears as a tough biker chick. Ernesto invests in an old trailer and hires Rosa (Electra) to be his “maintenance woman,” secretly hoping he can turn her attention away from the trailer and re-focus it on him. Also, Wesley Jonathan (“What I Like About You”) is brought back as Maria’s devoted boyfriend.
The episode on Friday, May 2, features a special appearance by Edward James Olmos (“Stand and Deliver”). When Maria and David will not stop fighting, Joaquin and Elizabeth (Rebecca Creskoff) fear that the children will never be friends and send them to visit a priest (Olmos) as a last ditch effort to mend their relationship.
“Greetings From Tucson” is from executive producers Peter Murrieta, Rob LaZebnick, Howard Klein and David Miner for Big Ticket Television, A Paramount/Viacom company.
