(February 12, 2015 – Burbank, CA) – Preliminary syndication ratings are now available for the week starting February 2, 2015, and “The Real” has hit a series high rating among Households delivering a 1.3 rating. This marks an +8% increase from the prior week (1.2 rtg) and a +30% gain from its premiere week (1.0 rtg) beginning September 15, 2014. Final data and demographics for the week will be available on Wednesday, February 18th.
Additionally, it was announced earlier this week that “The Real” will be returning for a second season this fall after proving its strength in season one. This season to date, “The Real” ranks as the #1 new syndicated talk show of the 2014–15 television season among the key advertiser demographics of Women 18–34, 18–49 and 25–54, and the show has recently hit its stride by posting record total viewership numbers for the series for three consecutive weeks.
In addition to its success on TV, “The Real” is also killing it online and in the social space, with nearly 88 million video views on the show’s YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/TheRealDaytime since its six-week test in summer 2013 and growing by nearly +390% throughout the 2014–15 season. For the 2014–15 season proper, “The Real” YouTube page has delivered more than 65 million video views, ranking #3 among all syndicated talk shows for the year, behind only “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Wendy Williams.” And in terms of Facebook “likes,” hosts Tamera Mowry-Housley (4.8 million) and Tamar Braxton (3.0 million) rank among the six most popular syndicated talk programs/hosts.
