America Online And Warner Bros. Pictures To Conduct Live Webcast Celebrity Chat From ShoWest Exhibitors Convention In Las Vegas
(March 2, 2001 – Las Vegas, NV) – America Online (AOL) and Warner Bros. Pictures are joining together to invite movie fans backstage March 8, 2001, at the 27th ShoWest Convention in Las Vegas. This innovative pairing will enable fans to view and participate in live chats with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars and filmmakers representing the Studio’s 2001 slate of films.
The chats will be conducted live from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon PST by celebrity interviewer Mr. Moviefone (aka Russ Leatherman, founder and famous voice of AOL Moviefone) from the green room at the Las Vegas Paris Hotel. The Webcast is accessible at AOL Keyword: Live or via www.wbmovies.com/lasvegaslive and will also be showcased on AOL PLUS, the enhanced, multimedia content offering for members signing on to the AOL service with a broadband connection.
Movie fans will be able to submit questions for the stars on the day of the event, March 8, and at any time during the hour-long interactive Webcast.
Among the stars and filmmakers invited to attend ShoWest on behalf of Warner Bros. Pictures are Halle Berry, director Frank Darabont, director Andrew Davis, Cristian de la Fuente, director Antoine Fuqua, DMX, Shannon Elizabeth, writer/director Bobby Farrelly, director Renny Harlin, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Jackman, Ali Larter, director Les Mayfield, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Chris Rock, Kip Pardue, director Wolfgang Petersen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Til Schweiger, Steven Seagal, director Dominic Sena, director Charles Shyer, producer Joel Silver, Sylvester Stallone, Hilary Swank, John Travolta, Estella Warren and Denzel Washington.
Tina Malave, the WB Online host who brings live Hollywood premiere coverage from the red carpet to the Web, will conduct the interviews along with Mr. Moviefone.
