Andy Mellett Promoted To Senior Vice President, Video On Demand, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution
(June 1, 2007 – Burbank, CA) — Andy Mellett has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Video on Demand, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, it was announced today by Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
Mellett will have increased responsibility for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution’s US and Canadian video-on-demand (VOD) and pay-per-view (PPV) businesses.
“Warner Bros. is poised to take full advantage of the extraordinary opportunity that VOD and PPV currently presents,” said Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. “Andy helped us get to that position and is the ideal executive to lead our effort going forward.”
Mellett will continue to work closely with Tsujihara to maximize the division's overall revenue growth, while acquiring rights to and distributing non-Warner Bros. content in the digital space, acting as a strategic consultant to the worldwide transactional VOD business and providing support to their international offices in launching transactional VOD platforms in all territories.

Mellett most recently served as Vice President, VOD, overseeing sales, marketing, finance and operations and licensing of all Warner Bros. theatrical content to the cable, satellite and broadband VOD and PPV markets. Mellett joined Warner Bros. in 2000 as Vice President, VOD Sales.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Mellett held the post of Vice President, national accounts in what was then the Disney/ABC cable networks group. He is a graduate of Boston College and holds an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.
