(August 4, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Multiple Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Jane Seymour, who proved her comedic skills in the current box office king, “Wedding Crashers,” will make her sitcom starring debut in The WB Network’s “Modern Men,” it was announced today by the network’s President, Entertainment, David Janollari. “Modern Men,” which will premiere in midseason, centers around three men in the 20s at different stages in their romantic lives. Seymour will portray Dr. Stangl, the female life coach the guys enlist to help them improve their relationships with women. Dr. Stangl is full of beneficial, yet biting advice the guys try to apply in their everyday situations to varying degrees of success. Seymour, best known for her lead role in “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman,” is familiar to The WB audience from her story arc on “Smallville” last season. She can currently be seen in “Wedding Crashers” starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. “Modern Men” also stars Josh Braaten, Max Greenfield, Eric Lively, Marla Sokoloff and George Wendt. The series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Marsh McCall serve as executive producers.
