Bill Marcus Named Senior Vice President/General Sales Manager, Telepictures Distribution And Patrick Parish Named Director, Southwestern Sales, Telepictures Distribution
(July 10, 2000 – Burbank, CA) – Bill Marcus has been named Senior Vice President/General Sales Manager, and Patrick Parish, Director, Southwestern Sales, Telepictures Distribution, it was announced today by Dan Greenblatt, Executive Vice President, Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution & Telepictures Distribution.
Based in Burbank, Marcus will be responsible for all of Telepictures Distribution’s sales offices, including oversight of the division’s sales and marketing efforts for both first-run and off-network product. Telepictures Distribution’s current first-run series include the popular relationship series “Change of Heart,” the recently renewed talk show “Queen Latifah” and the all-new game show “Street Smarts,” which debuts this fall.
“Bill is a seasoned, results-oriented sales executive and we are glad to have him back on our team,” said Greenblatt. “I had the pleasure of working with Bill when he was with WBDTD in New York and when we were both at Twentieth Television. His experience and determination make him a great addition to Telepictures.”
Marcus returns to traditional television sales following a brief stint as head of distribution for Fusient, a content incubator for Internet sites. Prior to that, he served for a year as Senior Vice President, Miramax, responsible for the sales and distribution of feature films to selected parts of Europe, Latin America and Asia. Before that, Marcus was Vice President, Eastern Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution for three years, where he was involved with the sales of such high-profile programming as “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and the off-net run of “Friends.” Prior to that, he served as Division Manager, Domestic Syndication at Twentieth Television and held Account Executive posts at both Viacom and Qintex.
Patrick Parish moves to Telepictures Distribution as Director, Southwestern Sales from his post as Manger, Southwestern Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
“Since joining us, Patrick has shown a great aptitude for what we do and really grown in his position,” said Greenblatt. “This promotion recognizes the many contributions he’s made to our operation in a relatively short period of time.”
Parish joined WBDTD in 1998. Before that, he worked in advertising sales at KLRT-TV/ KASN-TV (Little Rock), as well as at the Daily Citizen in Searcy, AR.
Telepictures Distribution was created in June 1995 as a separate full-service distribution operation handling original, general interest programs for the first-run marketplace as well as selected off-network product from WBDTD's library. # # #
