Chandra Years Named Director, Publicity And Marketing Services, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution
(November 17, 2003 - Burbank, CA) - Chandra Years has been named Director, Publicity and Marketing Services, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, it was announced today by Lisa Gregorian, Senior Vice President, Warner Bros. Television Creative Service.
In this newly created position, Years will work closely with WBITV’s marketing, publicity and servicing operations on campaigns, from initial concept to delivery of goods, for all of the properties represented by the company. She’ll also work as part of the team responsible for organizing WBITV’s activities at such trade shows as MIP, MIPCOM and NATPE, as well as the company’s annual International Press Junket (attended by more than 40 journalists from around the world each year).
“Chandra is a great marketing executive with an impressive background in international television,” said Gregorian. “Her style and sensibilities are very much in line with ours and I look forward to having her on our team.”
Prior to joining WBITV, Years spent 10 years at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, most recently as Vice President, Marketing, Promotion and Publicity. She started at Twentieth in 1993 as a marketing assistant and was subsequently promoted to Manager, Promotion and Publicity then to Director, Marketing, Promotion and Publicity prior to her elevation to Vice President. Before that, she held posts at ICM, The Steel Company and Vestron Pictures.
Years holds a bachelor’s degree in cinema/television and political science from University of Southern California and a master’s degree in marketing/entertainment management from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
