"Change Of Heart" Takes Bite Out Of Big Apple - Moves To New York For Fourth Season
(April 25, 2001 – Burbank, CA) - "Change of Heart," one of the most talked-about relationship series on television, will move from Los Angeles to New York City for its fourth season making it the only dating show tapping into the high-energy, upbeat and often irreverent attitude for which New York City audiences are known. Production on the series will begin in July, with the New York episodes debuting in September 2001.
"The shows we’ve done featuring contestants from New York have an amazing energy, enthusiasm and attitude and have been among some of our most popular. By moving the show to New York we can use this vibe to keep the show fresh and vital as it enters its fourth season," said Jim Paratore, President, Telepictures Productions. "We've had a great run in LA, and look forward to a seamless transition as we move 'Change of Heart' to New York, making it the only relationship show on television to originate from the Big Apple."
Consistently one of the highest-rated dating shows on television, and an undefeated timeslot champion in New York, "Change of Heart" explores the possibilities available when a couple comes to a crossroads in their relationship and each partner goes on one date with someone new. Following these separate dates, the original couple returns to the studio to declare if they’re going to stay together or if they’ve had a "Change of Heart."
"Change of Heart" is produced by And Syndicated Productions in association with Telepictures Productions and Divine Hammer, Inc. and is distributed by Telepictures Distribution. The half-hour, five-days-a-week series is double run in a majority of the markets in which it airs, including six of the top ten markets (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC and Atlanta). # # #
