Christopher Law Named Managing Director, United Kingdom & Michael Steinmann Named Sales Director, Scandinavia & Benelux, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution
(June 15, 2000 - Burbank, CA) - Christopher Law has been named Managing Director for the United Kingdom territories and Michael Steinmann has been named Sales Director, Scandinavia & Benelux, for Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.
In his new post, Law will be responsible for the licensing of WBITD’s television and feature film product to broadcast, pay, video-on-demand, satellite and cable television to the United Kingdom Territories. He will also oversee WBIT’s London office, including the sales staffs responsible for the United Kingdom Territories, Scandinavia, Benelux, Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Law will report to Josh Berger, Senior Vice President, International Sales and Business Development & Managing Director for Europe, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
Steinmann, who will report to Law, will be responsible for the licensing of WBITD’s television and feature film product to broadcast, pay, video-on-demand, satellite and cable television to Scandinavia, Benelux, Finland, Greece and Cyprus.

Law joins WBITD following five years with Columbia TriStar International Television, where he was most recently based in London as Vice President, Sales, Europe. Prior to that, he served for three years in their Paris office as Director, Sales, Southern Europe. Before that, Law was a partner in a Paris-based design and distribution company called ZO Design/YO Works, which evolved into one of the top three broadcast design companies in France, creating broadcast identities for such clients as France Television, Canale 5, Videomusic, La Cinq and TV Nova. Prior to that, he served for two years as Manager, Southern Europe, Carat Broadcast and for three years as Company Manager and Head of Development & Production for the UK-based independent production company Marvellous TV. Law speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Steinmann joins WBITD from Columbia TriStar International Television, where he served as Director, International Television Sales, responsible for Scandinavia, Finland, Benelux, Greece, Cyprus and Israel. Prior to that, he served for three years as Vice President, International Television Sales for Gaumont in Paris, where he was responsible for sales in Western Europe, North and South America. Before that, Steinmann was Vice President, International Sales for Fox Lorber International, responsible for sales in Western Europe, South America and Asia. From 1991-1993, he served as Director, International Sales for Alfred Haber, Inc., during which he also served as a coordinating producer for the European broadcasts of the U.S. Open. Steinmann began his career as an intern at All American Television, followed by a two year stint as a television market analyst at HRP, Inc. A multi-lingual executive, Steinmann speaks English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Flemish, French and Spanish. # # #
