Courtney D. Armstrong Joins Warner Bros. Pictures As Director, Business Affairs
(June 13, 2003 – Burbank, CA) - Courtney Armstrong has joined Warner Bros. Pictures as Director, Business Affairs. The announcement was made today by Patti Connolly, Executive Vice President, Business Affairs, Warner Bros. Pictures.
In his new position, Mr. Armstrong will be responsible for negotiating agreements with filmmakers, talent and all other relevant participants on Warner Bros. Pictures’ film projects. He will report to Ms. Connolly.
“We are glad to welcome Courtney to the Studio,” said Ms. Connolly. “His skills, training and experience will make him a tremendous addition to our team.”
Mr. Armstrong joins Warner Bros. Pictures from Walt Disney Pictures, where he spent three years as an attorney in the Business and Legal Affairs department of the Motion Picture Group. Prior to that he spent three years as a litigation associate on the entertainment litigation team at the Los Angeles-based law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP.
Mr. Armstrong is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Northwestern University School of Law, as well as the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. # # #
