Daffy Duck Announces Pleasure At Enhanced Role Of Birds In Current Cinema
(September 26, 2003 – Hollywood, CA) – Daffy Duck announced today at an unscheduled press conference that he is thrilled at the popularity and success of the documentary “Winged Migration,” which follows the paths of thousands of birds as they migrate around the world.
“I’m ecstatic that someone has finally recognized the raw cinematic power of the aviary community,” Mr. Duck enthused. “Although, regrettably, all of my scenes were cut from the film, I harbor no ill will towards the creators. I can see how my star power might distract from the plight of the common bird. I require no fame, nor fortune – my craft alone sustains me. Unlike some so-called ‘superstars’ who need to see their rabbit behinds plastered across every inch of blank space throughout the known universe in order to feel fulfilled.”
Daffy then took the time out of his busy schedule to plug his upcoming feature. “I do realize, however, that some of you students of the arts may be smarting from my absence in ‘Winged Migration.’ To that end, I remind you all that I do star in the upcoming major motion picture, ‘Looney Tunes: Back in Action,’ coming to a theater near you on the 14th of November, 2003. So never fear, fans, for I have abandoned you not!”
Following his subsequent fall from the podium, the actor was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is said to be annoying the staff.
