Haddad is responsible for all aspects of WBIE’s overall operations, including publishing, operations, sales, marketing, digital/mobile games, business development and game production. WBIE is in the midst of its most successful year ever, due to the launches of hit games “Batman: Arkham Knight,” “Mortal Kombat X,” “LEGO Jurassic World” and “Dying Light.” WBIE also broke into the toys-to-life category last month with the release of “LEGO Dimensions,” which has already been named to many of the top holiday games lists.
“David has proven himself to be a leader who is equally adept at the creative and management sides of the games business,” said Sanders. “This promotion recognizes the many contributions he’s made toward WBIE’s record-breaking success this year, and we’re looking to him to continue the division’s momentum.”
“David’s expertise in all areas of the video game business has been instrumental in our continued growth and success,” said Nelson. “As we look to further our expansion in both mobile and digital, we’ll look to David to help us develop and implement winning strategies.”
In January 2015, Haddad was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Publishing Operations, having joined the company in 2013 as Senior Vice President, Digital Publishing.
With over 25 years of online, entertainment and games experience, he previously served as COO of Activision/Blizzard’s “Guitar Hero” business and has held leadership roles at Sierra Online, Mattel and The Walt Disney Company.
