David Williamson Named Senior Vice President, Finance, Warner Bros. Pictures International
(September 14, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – David Williamson has been named Senior Vice President, Finance, Warner Bros. Pictures International. The announcement was made today by Angelina Speare, Executive Vice President, Operations and Finance, Warner Bros. Pictures International.
In his new role, Williamson will increase his current focus on the financial reporting for Warner Bros. Pictures International’s expanding local production activities and will oversee its implementation of the SAP (Systems Application Product) system worldwide in addition to assuming responsibility for complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Additionally, Williamson will continue to be responsible for overseeing the finance department including financial reporting and budgets. He will also continue liaising with various departments on strategic financial planning and initiatives.
“In order to effectively run operations for Warner Bros. Pictures International, it is imperative that we are constantly aware of and adapting to burgeoning growth sectors, new markets and the latest technologies. David has been an all-around, critical force in our ability to successfully meet the subsidiary’s growing needs,” commented Speare.
A veteran of Warner Bros. Entertainment, Williamson served most recently as the Vice President of Finance, Warner Bros. Pictures International since 1998. He joined the company in 1988 as an internal auditor for what was then Warner Communications. He transitioned in 1992 to the position of Director of European Finance, where he was based in London. Williamson then relocated to the U.S. in 1996 to serve as Vice President, Finance, Asia Pacific.
