Dawn Taubin Promoted To President, Domestic Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures
(November 5, 2001 - Burbank, CA) - Highly respected marketing executive Dawn Taubin has been named President, Domestic Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Alan Horn, President & Chief Operating Officer, Warner Bros.
Taubin, who will report directly to Horn, will be responsible for all aspects of the domestic marketing, including creative advertising, media buying, market research and publicity and promotion, for all feature films released, produced or co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Taubin moves up from Executive Vice President, Marketing, where for the past three years she has been a key member of the marketing team, supervising strategic campaigns as well as the day-to-day activities of the marketing department. Her responsibilities also included direct supervision of Publicity, Ad/Pub Services and financial administration of the company’s in-house creative advertising division, The Idea Place.

Taubin is a 12-year veteran of the Warner Bros. Pictures, having joined the company in 1989 as Vice President of Publicity. She was promoted to Vice President, Advertising and Publicity in 1993; to Senior Vice President, Advertising and Publicity, in 1996, and to Executive Vice President, Marketing in 1999.
Prior to joining Warner Bros. Pictures, Taubin was Vice President of Publicity at MGM, having started with MGM/UA Communications as West Coast Regional Publicity/Promotion Representative and moving up through various publicity and promotions positions there.
Taubin began her career as a staff producer of cable television programming with Warner Amex Cable Communications in Ohio. She relocated to Boston in 1983 to become Director of Publicity and Promotion for National Amusements Inc., where she remained until joining MGM/UA in 1985. # # #
