Debra Nathin Solomons Joins Warner Bros. Pictures As Vice President, Domestic Publicity
(July 20, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Debra Nathin Solomons has been named Vice President, Domestic Publicity, for Warner Bros. Pictures’ New York office. The announcement was made today by Debbie Miller, Executive Vice President, Domestic Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures and is effective July 18.
In her new post, Solomons will report to Miller and oversee the New York-based publicity activities supporting the domestic release of the Studio’s movies. She will develop strategies and supervise the team of publicists based in New York, coordinating with the three publicity teams based in Burbank, California who divide the Studio’s domestic slate among them.
“We feel really fortunate to be bringing Debbie on board,” said Miller. “She is one of the most talented and respected publicity executives in New York City, and we are thrilled to welcome her to Warner Bros. Pictures.”
Solomons comes to Warner Bros. Pictures from MGM Distribution, where she served from 1994 until recently as Senior Vice President of East Coast Publicity. While at MGM she helped create and implement campaigns on such movies as "Hannibal," "Legally Blond" and its sequel, "The Birdcage," "Leaving Las Vegas," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "No Man’s Land," "Hotel Rwanda" and the last four James Bond films, including "Die Another Day."
Prior to working at MGM, Solomons was a senior publicist at TriStar Pictures in New York. Between 1985 and 1992, she worked at three entertainment publicity firms: Rogers & Cowan, PMK Public Relations, and Smith & Siegel Public Relations.
