Escape Expands to Scripted Dramas, Licenses "Without a Trace" from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution
Escape will launch “Without a Trace” on New Year’s Day with a 12-episode marathon starting at 12 Noon ET. The series will be seen weeknights with two episodes back-to-back 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. ET starting Tuesday, January 2.
“Without a Trace” will be Escape’s first scripted drama series. It joins and expands a programming mix of original and acquired docuseries and theatrical motion pictures anchored in stories of investigation and mystery. Escape reaches women 25-54 and is currently seen in 90 percent of the U.S. The multiple-award winning “Without a Trace” follows an FBI team based in New York City tasked with finding missing persons, with each episode following the search of an individual while tracking the time they’ve been missing. The stories also focus on the personal lives of the team members and illustrated how their experiences gave them insight into cases. “Without a Trace” stars Anthony LaPaglia, Poppy Montgomery, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Enrique Murciano, Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Close. The series was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and ran on CBS for seven seasons.
Escape is part of Katz Networks; targeted, demo-specific brands leading a new generation of fast-growing broadcast networks created to serve cord-cutters, cord-nevers and subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) subscribers.
