Exclusive Cinemax Documentary “Stanley Kubrick: A Life In Pictures,” Narrated By Tom Cruise, Debuts June 12 On Cinemax
(May 14, 2001 – Burbank, CA) - CINEMAX will present an unprecedented look at legendary director Stanley Kubrick when the powerful documentary “STANLEY KUBRICK: A LIFE IN PICTURES” debuts TUESDAY, JUNE 12 (7:30 p.m.– 10:00 p.m. ET). Produced by and directed by longtime Kubrick associate Jan Harlan and narrated by Tom Cruise (who starred in Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut”), the exclusive special is part of “Director’s Chair: Stanley Kubrick,” also featuring “Full Metal Jacket” (5:30 p.m. ET), “Eyes Wide Shut” (10:00 p.m. ET) and “A Clockwork Orange” (12:40 a.m. ET).
Made with the cooperation of his family, “STANLEY KUBRICK: A LIFE IN PICTURES” is a revealing portrait of the director, highlighted by the recollections and insights of Kubrick’s friends, family and colleagues. Among those paying tribute are Woody Allen, Sir Arthur C. Clarke, Shelly Duvall, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Christiane Kubrick, Paul Mazursky, Malcolm McDowell, Matthew Modine, Jack Nicholson, Alan Parker, Sydney Pollack, Richard Schickel, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Douglas Trumbull and Sir Peter Ustinov.
