(March 13, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — The old west will meet modern day slapstick comedy once again when Warner Home Video (WHV) releases "F-Troop: The Complete Second Season" on DVD May 29, 2007. A classic American television series "F-Troop" is a comedic parody on the old West, which follows the exploits of a crew of hilarious cavalrymen at Fort Courage, a fictional army outpost in 1865 Kansas. "F-Troop: The Complete Second Season" will feature 31 episodes on six discs along with an all-new featurette that showcases never-before-seen interviews and footage. The DVD will retail for $39.98 SRP. The order due date has been set for April 24, 2007. "F-Troop" is a slapstick comedy that was the first to spoof the classic TV western. The show originally aired on ABC from 1965 to 1967, but it was not until its second season that viewers got to experience the program in full color. Go west…and go loco. Yes, Captain Parmenter and his buffoons in blue are ready again to untame the wilderness in TV’s wackiest Western spoof. Wrangler Jane still pines after Parmenter, the Hekawis still plot after profits and Sergeant O’Rourke and Corporal Agarn have more get-rich-quick schemes up their regimental sleeves. A plains-load of comic guest stars joins the fun, including Phil Harris as a 147-year-old Indian chief, Harvey Korman as a Prussian balloonist, Paul Lynde as a singing Mountie, Milton Berle as a flim-flam medicine man and Vincent Price as a spooky Transylvanian count. Enlist now for a second comedy tour: the out-of-its-mind and ahead-of-its-time 31-episode final season of "F Troop"! In addition to Ken Berry, "F-Troop: The Complete Second Season" also stars Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch, Melody Patterson, Frank DeKova, Don Diamond, and James Hampton. The show’s second season featured an assortment of legendary television stars from the era including Milton Berle, comedian Paul Lynde, Vincent Price, Julie Newmar, Harvey Korman and several others. "F-Troop: The Complete Second Season" DVD bonus features include: "Fall In With F-Troop" -- Reconstructing the back-story of "F-Troop." “To this day, 'F-Troop' remains one of the funniest classic television comedies ever made. It was a wonderful, clever spoof of a genre that was very popular in its day. It featured a very talented, entertaining cast of characters and lots of silly gags that are just as fresh and funny today as they were years ago,” commented Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV Marketing. She added, “We are pleased to offer the second and final season of this classic show to consumers. Now they can enjoy the full 'F-Troop' collection anytime they want.” With operations in 90 international territories Warner Home Video, a Warner Bros.
