Former "Survivor" Castaway, Dr. Sean Kenniff, Makes A Permanent Housecall As “Extra’s” New Medical Correspondent
(August 17, 2000 – Glendale, CA) - “Dr. Sean” Kenniff was voted off the CBS hit show “Survivor” last night, but has quickly landed as the new medical correspondent at EXTRA. Kenniff, the former chief neurology resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, recently left his position to pursue a career in television.
“We are delighted to offer Dr. Kenniff a more permanent residence than his ‘Survivor’ surroundings,” said Executive Producer Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey. “If ‘Dr. Sean’ can survive on the remote island, he’ll have no trouble working in the daily news grind.”
Kenniff, who will be based in New York, will cover topics ranging from the ‘Survivor Diet’ to the latest medical breakthroughs.
“EXTRA,” a Time Telepictures Television production, is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. For more information on “EXTRA” reports please visit “Extra” at www.extratv.com. # # #
