(October 31, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Harry Potter fans won’t have to cast magic spells to let friends and family know what they want for the holidays this year. Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and Warner Bros. Online are today announcing the launch of the “Harry Potter Wish List” on www.harrypotter.com, the official Harry Potter movie site, and on its international counterparts. Beginning on October 31st, visitors to the Harry Potter website in the U.S., the U.K., France and Germany can use the “Wish List” generator to choose from a wide array of products and create an e-mail containing a list of Harry Potter products that they would like to receive. The “Wish List” email can then be sent to friends and family to let them know what products the sender would like and also where the products can be purchased. The “Wish List,” which can be sent to multiple recipients at once, can contain up to six items from a variety of Harry Potter merchandise. The product categories may include Apparel and Accessories, Domestics and Housewares, Gifts and Novelties, Home Videos and Soundtracks, Stationery and Paper Goods, Toys and Games, Interactive, Publishing, and also Collectibles, from such licensees and retailers as The Noble Collection, Lego, Mattel, Electronic Arts, Marks & Spencer, Amazon.com, Hot Topic, and others. “From the Scene It? Harry Potter Edition DVD Game, to Ron Weasley’s collectible wand, fans can request a wide variety of Harry Potter themed gifts,” said Don Buckley, Senior Vice President, Theatrical Marketing & New Media, Warner Bros. Online. “The ease and simplicity of creating a ‘Wish List’ on the Harry Potter website is gratifying for gift givers and receivers alike,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President, Domestic Licensing, Global Toys, Publishing and Themed Entertainment for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “By knowing exactly what Harry Potter fans want, friends and family can help make their holiday wishes come true.” Fans will also get a chance to enter the Ultimate Christmas at Hogwarts sweepstakes, where one lucky grand prize winner from each participating country will each receive a gift basket full of each and every Harry Potter product that is featured on that country’s Wish List. The “Harry Potter Wish List” will be available until December 31st and the names of the winners for the sweepstakes will be announced by Christmas. About Warner Bros. Online Warner Bros.
