Jamie Kennedy Kicks Off November Sweeps On The WB With All-Star Accomplices
(October 25, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — Jamie Kennedy plays host to a bevy of A-list stars on “THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT” during November sweeps. The laughs begin with “Ghost Ship” star Julianna Margulies on October 31, followed by a slam dunk episode with Sacramento Kings basketball star Mike Bibby in a special one-hour episode from Las Vegas on November 7. Next, “Friends” star David Schwimmer and Ethan Phillips from “Star Trek: Voyager” stop by for some fun on November 14 and Jeff Goldblum and Beverley Mitchell wrap up the sweep on November 21.
It’s more trick than treat with Julianna Margulies and Joel Silver on Thursday, October 31, 9:00 – 9:30 p.m. ET. Kennedy disguises himself as a casting agent and, along with Margulies, auditions a multitude of hopefuls for their new production “Ghost Ship: The Musical.” The insane antics they put them through are nothing compared to the moment blockbuster producer Joel Silver walks through the door.
Kennedy hosts a special one-hour episode from The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas on Thursday, November 7, 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET. Star basketball player Mike Bibby teams up with Kennedy to “X” one of the Maloof brothers who own both the Sacramento Kings and The Palms Casino. Gavin Maloof doesn’t know what to do when his star player refuses to pay a large gambling debt after he is offended by a very hostile poker dealer (Kennedy).
On November 14, 9:00 – 9:30 p.m. ET, Kennedy is thrilled to create some chaos with his friendly accomplice David Schwimmer. Hilarity ensues after Schwimmer interviews an aspiring assistant who hopes to work with him, that is until he finds out his first assignment is to fire David’s old assistant (Kennedy) - who won’t leave without a fight. Also, Kennedy joins a group of extreme “Trekkies” for a focus group that evaluates old “Star Trek” shows, but it quickly becomes clear that Kennedy doesn’t know anything about “Star Trek,” especially after “Star Trek: Voyager” star Ethan Phillips stops by for a special visit.
The series wraps up the sweep on Thursday, November 21, 9:00 – 9:30 p.m. ET with guest appearances by Jeff Goldblum and “7th Heaven’s” Beverley Mitchell. Jamie Kennedy disguises himself as a casting director searching for a fresh face to represent Goldblum’s new fragrance, “Simply Goldblum,” but the models panic after Jamie tells them the cologne is toxic and they must hide the news from Jeff. Also, Beverley Mitchell hires a new assistant whose dedication is immediately put to the test after a store clerk (Kennedy) busts Beverley for shoplifting and she tries to pawn the crime off on her newly hired assistant.
From executive producers Jamie Kennedy, Fax Bahr & Adam Small, Mike Karz and Brian Hartt, the series is produced by Bahr Small Productions and Karz Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television Production and Big Ticket Television, A Paramount / Viacom Company. # # #
