John Miller Signs Development Deal With Telepictures Productions
(February 4, 2004 - Burbank, CA) - MTV programming veteran John Miller has signed a development deal with Telepictures Productions, it was announced today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Telepictures Productions.
Under the terms of the deal, Miller will develop and produce programming for the network, cable and syndicated marketplaces.
“John has been involved in some truly groundbreaking, cutting-edge television and he has a proven track record of being ahead of the curve with programming that clicks with young audiences,” said Estey McLoughlin. “We look forward to tapping into his expertise and creativity.”
Miller spent seven years at MTV, most recently as Executive Vice President, Original Series and Animation, where he developed and produced some of the top-rated series in the network’s history. During his tenure at the network, he served as an executive producer on a dozen of MTV’s signature series, including “Jackass,” “The Tom Green Show” and “Making the Band,” and as the executive in charge of production on another dozen shows including “The Real World,” “Road Rules” and “Loveline.” Before MTV, Miller was Director of Development at Foxlab, where he created, developed and produced 26 episodes of the reality series “Trauma Center,” which aired in national syndication for Twentieth Television.
