Keith Kohler Named Vice President, Business Development, Latin America, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution
(November 6, 2000 - Burbank, CA) - Keith Kohler has been named Vice President, Business Development, Latin America, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD), it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.
Kohler will be based in Miami where he will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and negotiating equity investments, strategic alliances, and distribution deals in free and pay television markets in Latin America. He will report to Malcolm Dudley-Smith, Senior Vice President, Sales & Business Development, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
“Keith’s expertise in pay television, as well as his incredible breadth of experience and knowledge of the Latin American territory, will be a great asset for us,” said Dudley-Smith.
Kohler joins WBITD after a brief consulting stint with Sky Latin America, where he negotiated several pay-per-view and network deals. Prior to that, Kohler served as Director, Business Development at Loral Skynet, where he was primarily responsible for the development of commercial strategies and business planning for a Brazil-based satellite start-up company. Before that, he was Director, Product Marketing and Development for Sky Latin America, overseeing technical development of set-top boxes and future consumer interfaces, as well as leading several commercial and marketing activities throughout the region. Prior to that, Kohler was an associate for the Coopers & Lybrand Retail Industry Consulting Group. He began his post-MBA career as an assistant brand manager for Procter & Gamble Mexico.
Kohler graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a bachelor of science degree in foreign service. He also received a dual master’s degree--in business administration from the Wharton School and international studies from the University of Pennsylvania. # # #
