Keith Zajic Named Executive Vice President Warner Bros. Pictures Music
(September 30, 2003 – Burbank, CA) - Warner Bros. has promoted Keith Zajic to Executive Vice President, Business Affairs for Warner Bros. Pictures Music. The announcement was made jointly today by Gary LeMel, President of Warner Bros. Pictures Music, and Doug Frank, Co-President of Warner Bros. Pictures Music, to whom Zajic will continue to report.
In his new post, Zajic will continue to negotiate agreements for soundtrack and scoring artists and will oversee all other legal issues relevant to the Music division's activities.
"Keith has been integral to everything we do here for nearly 15 years," said LeMel and Frank in a joint statement. "We rely on his expertise, commitment and judgment every day and are very happy to acknowledge his many contributions to the success of our division with this promotion."
Zajic most recently was Senior Vice President, Business Affairs in the same division, a position he assumed in 1993 after serving as Vice President there from 1989. Prior to that time, he was Senior Vice President of Business Affairs for the Columbia Pictures Entertainment Music Group, having joined that company in 1982 as Senior Counsel. Zajic began his career with the Los Angeles law firm of Loeb & Loeb, specializing in entertainment practice.
During his tenure with Warner Bros. Zajic has overseen negotiations for such hit Warner Bros. Pictures soundtracks as “New Jack City,” “Singles,” “The Bodyguard,” “Space Jam,” “City of Angels,” “Romeo Must Die,” the Matrix trilogy and the Harry Potter movies. # # #
