Kids’ WB! Takes To The High Road As Futuristic Series “The Zeta Project” Returns For Second Season
(March 6, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — Kids' WB! is on the road — and on the run — again, with the high-adventure series “The Zeta Project” as Zeta and Ro, now two famous fugitives, continue the search for answers to their past. The futuristic series returns to Kids' WB!’s #1 Saturday morning broadcast line-up for an exciting second season on Saturday, March 23 (9:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT).
The suspenseful series debuts with an edge-of-the-seat episode, entitled “Absolute Zero,” finding Zeta face-to-face with his creator, Dr. Selig — a man who has been mysteriously absent since Zeta was programmed. Unfortunately, Zeta and Ro, in their haste to finally speak with Dr. Selig, cause an accident at the cryo-lab where the scientist works…freezing him alive. As the two cohorts desperately try to revive the good doctor, the steadfast Agent Bennet is hot on their trail and ready to bust through the door – despite being ordered not to go in. Will Zeta reverse the cryo-freeze process before Agent Bennet captures him…or will the chance to learn about his true mission be lost forever?
“The Zeta Project” continues to chronicle the futuristic adventures of Zeta, a renegade government-designed robot, and Ro, his 15-year-old street-wise companion — who remain fugitives on the run from a government that doesn’t understand them…and has orders to capture them. Originally designed as a high-tech weapon for the government, Zeta decided to deny his “destruction” program. Zeta’s awesome gadgetry and moral conviction coupled with Ro’s street smarts and dry wit have this futuristic odd couple looking for the truth in 2040 — helping each other and those they meet on their adventurous and heartfelt escapades. # # #
