Kim Christianson Named Vice President, Creative Affairs, Warner Bros. Animation
(January 9, 2003 – Burbank, CA) - Kim Christianson has been named Vice President, Creative Affairs, Warner Bros. Animation, it was announced today by Sander Schwartz, President, Warner Bros. Animation.
In her new post, Christianson is charged with bringing new talent—writers, artists and producers—to Warner Bros. Animation in order to develop new series for broadcast and cable outlets. She will also serve as a creative executive on a number of series currently in production.
“Kim is an extremely creative and talented executive with a wealth of experience in children’s programming,” said Schwartz. “We have an exciting slate of current and upcoming projects and I look forward to working with her to keep our division’s creative momentum moving full speed ahead.”
Prior to joining Warner Bros. Animation, Christianson served as Vice President, Programming & Development at Fox Family/ABC Family Channel. Before that, she served as Director, Development at Saban Entertainment and Manager, Current Programming, Walt Disney Television Animation, having joined Disney as a development associate. Christianson has also been a freelance story analyst for Cornerstone Pictures and a casting assistant at Cecily Adams Casting.
Christianson holds a bachelor’s degree in dramatic literature from University of California, Santa Barbara. # # #
