Leisa Wu Promoted To Senior Vice President, Assistant Controller, Warner Bros. Entertainment
(July 19, 2006 – Burbank, CA) – Leisa Wu has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Assistant Controller, Warner Bros. Entertainment, it was announced today by Reg Harpur, Senior Vice President, Controller, Warner Bros. Entertainment.
In her new position, Wu will work closely with Harpur on the financial aspects of the company’s operations across all divisions of the Studio. She’ll also retain oversight of the Warner Bros. Procurement Group, which will move from being a divisional function of Warner Bros. Studio Facilities to a corporate function in recognition of its expanding importance to all of the company’s businesses worldwide.
“Leisa is a great addition to our corporate finance team,” said Harpur. “Throughout her tenure, she’s proven to be an astute executive with strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of our industry and a knack for finding the delicate balance between fiscal responsibility and support of business growth.”
Wu most recently served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Planning, Warner Bros. Studio Facilities, with oversight of financial operations, business planning, corporate logistics and traffic and the Procurement Group. Prior to that, she led the Studio’s audit and advisory services department. Wu joined Warner Bros. from Ernst & Young.
Wu, a CPA, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
