Lewis Oberlander Named Senior Vice President, Domestic Marketing Research, Warner Bros. Pictures
(March 23, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Lewis Oberlander has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Domestic Marketing Research, Warner Bros. Pictures. The announcement was made by Dawn Taubin, President, Domestic Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures.
As the head of the Domestic Marketing Research department, Oberlander oversees the preparation, development, execution, analysis, and reporting of market research projects related to the full slate of movies being developed and marketed by Warner Bros. Pictures. He moves up from his previous post as Vice President in the same department.
“Lewis has been an invaluable partner in helping the Studio fine-tune and develop effective marketing campaigns for our films,” said Taubin. “His analysis of data gathered via the most current research methods, and his collaborative management style have earned him the respect of filmmakers, Studio executives, and his colleagues in the industry. I’m pleased to acknowledge his contributions with this new title and expansion of his responsibilities.”
Oberlander joined Warner Bros. Pictures in 1998 from Buena Vista Pictures, where he had risen to Manager, Marketing Research after joining the company in 1992. He was named Vice President, Domestic Marketing Research, at Warner Bros. Pictures in September, 2003.
After earning his B.A. at Syracuse University, Oberlander received his Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
