Mark Reina Named Senior Vice President of Publicity for Warner Bros. Pictures
(July 25, 2000 – Burbank, CA) - Mark Reina has been named Senior Vice President, Publicity, for Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Dawn Taubin, Executive Vice President of Marketing for the division. Mr. Reina moves up from his former post of Vice President, Publicity, which he assumed in October, 1997. He will continue to oversee all aspects of national publicity campaigns for the studio’s theatrical releases and continue to be based at the studio’s Burbank, California, headquarters, reporting directly to Ms. Taubin.
“Mark’s tremendous energy, creativity and dedication continue to be among this department’s greatest assets,” Ms. Taubin said. “His instincts, expertise, relationships with filmmakers and talent, and his inventive campaigns on films like ‘The Matrix’ and ‘Romeo Must Die’ have helped expand the horizons for our overall publicity operations. We are delighted to recognize his enormous contribution with this promotion.”
Reina has been with Warner Bros. Pictures for 11 years, first as Director of East Coast Publicity, based in New York, then as Director of National Publicity in 1995.
Mr. Reina began his career in 1983 as a publicist/senior account executive with Nancy Seltzer & Associates, working with entertainment personalities and feature films; in 1988 he moved to Universal Pictures as a senior publicist, where he carried out New York-based publicity activities on that studio's film releases. # # #
