(June 8, 2004 - Oak Brook, IL and Burbank, CA) – McDonald’s Corporation and Warner Home Video (WHV) announced a long-term distribution deal for a new live-action video series featuring high-energy interactive adventures with Ronald McDonald & Friends with kids from around the world. The videos will be produced in many languages and distributed by Warner Home Video in traditional video retail outlets around the world. A spring, 2005 release date is planned for the initial videos. Regarding the announcement, Mike Saksa, WHV Senior Vice President, US Marketing said, “McDonald’s is a powerful and well-respected brand recognized around the world and we are privileged to be associated with the company. We believe consumers will be excited to see their favorite McDonald’s characters come to life in a series of DVDs and videos which will not only entertain but also inform viewers. These shows for families are brought to life with lively, contemporary music. Dozens of new, original songs will energize viewers to get with the action. The DVDs and videos will not be available in McDonald’s restaurants.
