Moffet’s Career Develops Into Vice President, Photography For The WB
(January 18, 2000 – Burbank, CA) – Bonnie Moffet, one of the first employees at The WB Network, has been promoted to Vice President, Photography, it was announced today by Brad Turell, Executive Vice President, Network Communications at The WB.
Ms. Moffet, who joined the network in October 1994 as Manager, Photography three months before The WB launched, most recently served as Director, Photography.
Ms. Moffet oversees the episodic and gallery coverage of all of The WB’s primetime shows. Among her responsibilities is handpicking photographers, selecting locations, directing galleries and editing the thousands of rolls of film that pass through her office each year. She also spearheaded the development of the network’s press web site (TheWBpr.com) and services all magazines, newspapers and on-line sites with still photography. She also distributes art for Kids’ WB! to the nation’s press.
"Being a photographer by trade has enabled Bonnie to bring a creative element to the job that has resulted in what I believe is the most beautiful art in the business," said Mr. Turell. "In addition she runs an amazingly tight ship in an area that can be unwieldy, bringing a wonderful warmth and enthusiasm to everything she does."
Before joining The WB, Ms. Moffet was a freelance photographer working for outlets such as People Weekly, Us Weekly, Time, Cosmopolitan as well as a multitude of international publications.
She has photographed nearly 40 television shows including “thirtysomething,” “Dallas,” “Knots Landing,” “Moonlighting,” “NYPD Blue,” “Melrose Place” and “Home Improvement” and her portrait subjects include such A-list stars as Jane Fonda, Harrison Ford, Linda Evans, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas. # # #
