Nicky Wood Promoted To Senior Vice President, Sales, Russia, CEE And Sub Saharan Africa, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution
(March 26, 2009 – London and Burbank, CA) – Nicky Wood has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales, Russia, CEE and Sub Saharan Africa, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television, and Robert Blair, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Northern Europe, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
In her new position, Wood will supervise WBITD’s growing operations across Russia and Central and Eastern Europe, and will continue to oversee operations in Sub Saharan Africa. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for overseeing the licensing of Warner Bros. Entertainment content – including television series, theatrical motion pictures, movies for television, and animation – to free and pay TV operations over terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV platforms, as well as to selected new media clients in the areas of ad-supported video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand in these territories.
Based in London, Wood will continue to report to Blair.

In her previous role, Wood served as Vice President, Sales, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe from 2006, and before that, Sales Director, Eastern Europe.
She joined WBITD in 2004 from Sky, where she was head of acquisitions for the entertainment channels, and formerly spent four years at MTG’s Viasat Broadcasting as VP Acquisitions for their Nordic and Central and Eastern European operations. # # #
