(February 5, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Paul Flett has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development and Sales, International Licensing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Reporting to Matheny, Flett will drive sales for the division by developing International Licensing sales strategies and systems. In his new position, Paul will manage Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ Licensing plan, as well as negotiate strategic international licenses. Additionally, he will define new business development and market entry strategies, brand development strategies, business structures, operating strategies and performance scenarios. Flett will also have regional responsibility for Australia and New Zealand, with the General Manager, Warner Bros. Consumer Products (Australia) reporting directly to him. Flett joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 1996 as General Manager of the company’s UK office and was promoted in 1998 to Vice President of Toys, Gifts, Stationery, EMEA and Head of the company’s UK operation. In this position, he was responsible for negotiating some of the most important license agreements in the region. “When Paul first joined the company, he immediately became an integral member of our UK operation,” said Matheny. “We are thrilled that he and his family have decided to relocate to Burbank. Paul joins our international business team with a wealth of knowledge and skill that will contribute significantly to our continued growth and success.” Before joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Flett held management positions at noted companies including Sega, Mattel, L’Oréal and Nestlé. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Marketing with French from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom. Warner Bros.
