Peter Dodd Named Vice President, Creative Development, Warner Bros. Pictures
(June 29, 2018 – Burbank, CA) – Peter Dodd has been named Vice President, Creative Development, Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Courtenay Valenti, President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Pictures, to whom he will report.
In his new role, Dodd will work with writers and producers on the development of original scripts, literary adaptations and existing IP for production by Warner Bros. Pictures.
“We are so excited for Peter to join Warner Bros. Pictures,” said Valenti. “His ability to identify emerging talent, his excellent taste in material, and his skill and experience in putting movies together make him an ideal executive for Warner Bros.”
Dodd joins Warner Bros. Pictures from United Talent Agency, where he served as a Literary Agent since 2012. At UTA, he negotiated 100-plus feature film deals with studios, including New Line Cinema, Netflix, A24and Universal. He joined the agency as an assistant in 2009.
Before that, Dodd served as a Corporate Strategy Analyst at The Walt Disney Company, working across four business units on special projects for the Strategy Group and the CFO, including advising on what would ultimately become Shanghai Disney Resort in Shanghai, China.
Dodd began his career as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in Boston. He is a graduate of Harvard University and was a member of its Hasty Pudding Theatricals group.
