Robert A. Fisher Promoted To Executive Vice President, Financial Investments, Warner Bros. Pictures
(September 25, 2008 – Burbank, CA) – Twenty-five year Warner Bros. veteran Robert A. Fisher has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Financial Investments, Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Steven S. Spira, President, Worldwide Business Affairs, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Fisher, who moves up from Senior Vice President, Financial Investments, a post he’s held since 1994, will continue to spearhead Warner Bros. Pictures’ film financing activities and also continue to work with various government agencies on the development and implementation of policies promoting film production.
“Bob has been a pioneer for not only our company but for our entire industry in the creation and crafting of innovative financing deals that best take advantage of production opportunities,” said Spira. “I congratulate Bob on this well-deserved promotion and am pleased that we will continue to benefit from his cumulative experience and singular expertise in this highly-complex but critical area.”
Fisher joined the studio in 1983 and was named Vice President, Financial Investments in 1986 and Senior Vice President in 1994. Prior to that, Fisher worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte. He got his start in audit, tax and international tax at Arthur Young in 1975. Fisher earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. # # #
